Hi everyone

I need to get a talking clock for my mum as she can no longer see an ordinary one. There are so many different ones available but I don't know which are really good- I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good one?

Thanks

Maria

Hi Maria

I have just contacted my son who works for a blind charity and he has recommended one for your mum. It is an RNIB Cube Clock. It has one button on the top and when you press it it says the time in a very clear voice. Also, if you hold the button down a bit longer it says the day and the date as well. This clock also has automatic update so when the clocks go forward or back your mum doesn't need to do anything. It will just change on its own. The clock costs £30 and is available direct from RNIB. I hope this is helpful.

Thanks Dorothy and Sheila for your suggestions.

I had seen the cube clock on the RNIB website and it looked as if it might be ok- thanks for checking it out for me Sheila. The date is helpful too as the poor old mum often doesn't know what day it is, bless her.
